Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit his sixth home run in eight games and drove in six RBIs, Alejandro Kirk contributed two hits and two RBIs, and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the New York Yankees 9-3 on Saturday.

The Yankees, who won on Friday to end a four-game losing streak, have now lost 10 of their last 13 games.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa had four hits and George Springer reached base three times as the Blue Jays won for the third time in four games after breaking a season-long seven-game losing streak.

“We’re having fun, and that’s the most important thing,” Guerrero said through a translator. “We’ll keep it up and hopefully keep winning.”

The Blue Jays have scored five or more runs in six consecutive games, their longest streak of the season.

Chris Bassitt (7-6) of Toronto allowed one run and six hits over six innings to earn his first win since June 2 against Pittsburgh. In the first inning, the right-hander was hit on the forearm by a 102 mph line drive from Yankees slugger Aaron Judge, but he stayed in the game despite a noticeable welt on his pitching arm.

“I knew right away that I could continue in the game,” Bassitt said. “I was a bit uncertain about the next inning and the one after that. These things tend to tighten up a bit. We managed to get through it.”

Bassitt underwent X-rays between innings, which showed no fractures. He wore a long-sleeve compression top under his jersey for the rest of the game as a precaution.

Bassitt issued two walks and tied his season high with eight strikeouts.

Guerrero hit a two-run homer off Nestor Cortes in the first inning, his 13th of the season. Although he grounded out in the third and struck out in the fifth, Guerrero provided insurance with a two-out, three-run double against left-hander Caleb Ferguson in Toronto’s five-run sixth inning.
