Stefanos Tsitsipas playfully teased about an impending “fight” between himself and his brothers Petros and Pavlos as they contemplated their doubles pairings for upcoming tournaments.

The 25-year-old Greek star first teamed up with Petros at the 2021 Australian Open as a wildcard duo, albeit losing in the opening round. Since then, the brothers have frequently joined forces in various ATP Tour events and Grand Slams.

Their pinnacle achievement arrived in 2023 when they triumphed in the men’s doubles category at the European Open in Antwerp, defeating Ariel Behar and Adam Pavlasek in a thrilling final. Despite conceding the first set 7-6(5), the Greek siblings rallied back to secure the next two sets 6-4 and 10-8.

Speaking from Acapulco, where he is gearing up for the Mexican Open, Tsitsipas mentioned his youngest brother, Pavlos (18), who is carving his path on the ITF pro circuit.

“Pavlos is grinding on the ITF pro circuit, striving to make his mark. He’s also a solid doubles player,” Tsitsipas remarked.

With a touch of humor, the ATP World No. 12 hinted at potential sibling rivalry, anticipating disagreements over doubles partnerships in future tournaments.

“It’s only a matter of time before we start fighting over who plays with whom. Soon, all three of us will be out there on the ATP Tour, I reckon. I’m hopeful for that, given the immense talent we possess,” Tsitsipas added.
