Jeremy Roach, a standout point guard from the University of Delaware, recently committed to Baylor after entering the transfer portal. Despite interest from several prominent programs like Arkansas, St. John’s, Kentucky, Villanova, and Syracuse, Baylor, led by coach Scott Drew, secured Roach’s commitment.
Having started 108 games over four seasons with Duke, Roach brings a wealth of experience to Baylor. He emerged as a key player for the Blue Devils, earning third-team All-ACC honors during his senior year. Roach’s journey began as a highly touted recruit, marked by his inclusion in the McDonald’s All-American class of 2020.
Throughout his tenure at Duke, Roach showcased consistent improvement, culminating in an impressive senior campaign. He significantly elevated his performance, averaging 14.0 points and 3.3 assists while boasting a remarkable 42.9% shooting accuracy from beyond the arc. His contributions were pivotal in Duke’s NCAA tournament run, although they were eventually eliminated by NC State in the Elite Eight.
Roach’s arrival at Baylor is anticipated to fill a crucial void in their backcourt, particularly with RayJ Dennis graduating.
