Alexander Zverev faced challenges with his knee, a long tiebreaker, and nerves when he saw one of his idols in the Royal Box at Wimbledon.

Despite these obstacles, he defeated Cameron Norrie in straight sets on Saturday, securing his place in the fourth round. Zverev had to get treatment for his left knee after falling during the second set.

Seeing Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, in the Royal Box made him feel overwhelmed. Zverev is a big fan of Bayern Munich, the German team that Guardiola coached from 2013 to 2016.

“After spotting Pep, I was really nervous for a few games,” Zverev shared with the crowd after his victory. He jokingly asked Guardiola to consider coaching Bayern Munich again or even coaching him on the tennis court if he ever gets tired of football.

Ben Shelton also advanced to the fourth round after a tough match against Denis Shapovalov. Shelton, seeded 14th, won in five sets on No. 1 Court, with the match suspended overnight due to rain during the first set.
