Despite facing serious accusations, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon may not face jail time, according to legal expert Dmitriy Shakhnevich.
McMahon has been under scrutiny following allegations of sex trafficking made by Janel Grant, a former associate of the Stamford-based promotion. This has sparked widespread speculation within the wrestling community regarding the potential legal repercussions for McMahon.
Lawyer Shakhnevich clarified:
“There’s been a lot of talk about Vince McMahon being sentenced and going to jail, but this is not a criminal case. That’s a common misconception. Nobody goes to jail as a result of a civil case. While the allegations may seem criminal, we can’t jump to conclusions. Even if he were to be arrested, charged, or indicted…”
