Former Junior No. 1 Alina Korneeva is gearing up to make her mark on the senior circuit in 2024. Speaking exclusively on the sidelines of the Mumbai 125K, the 16-year-old emphasized the pivotal role her family has played in her journey to success on the big stage at such a young age.

ude of her father’s achievements, Korneeva considers winning an Olympic medal as the pinnacle of athletic accomplishment.
In discussing her family’s influence on her career, Korneeva highlighted the unwavering support she receives from her relatives, particularly her father. She acknowledged turning to him for guidance and professional advice, drawing upon his extensive experience as an Olympian.
“My family is the biggest support of my life,” Korneeva affirmed. “I’m really happy that my father has the greatest experience someone can have. He competed in the Olympic Games, and I believe it’s the most valuable experience.”
Expressing gratitude for her father’s mentorship, Korneeva emphasized his role as a guiding light in her career, noting that she regularly seeks his insights on navigating the challenges of professional sports.
“Every time, he provides me with a lot of advice, and I consult him on various aspects of professional and athlete life,” Korneeva shared. “I am truly fortunate to have the best family supporting me.”
