UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed that tech mogul Elon Musk will be gracing the upcoming Fight Night event in Las Vegas.
In an interview with Las Vegas Review-Journal, White revealed that Musk is set to attend UFC Vegas 86, headlined by middleweights Jack Hermansson and Joe Pyfer, with a featherweight co-main event featuring Dan Ige and Andre Fili.
White emphasized the significance of the event coinciding with Super Bowl LVIII weekend in Las Vegas, anticipating a significant turnout. He also highlighted the success of the preceding Power Slap event, scheduled for Friday, with impressive ticket sales. White expressed his excitement, stating:
“Being around Super Bowl weekend is a no-brainer, especially here in our hometown. We’ve done it before, like in Dallas. Having Slap on Friday, UFC on Saturday, and the Super Bowl on Sunday is a winning combination.
People in town for these events are showing up – even Elon Musk will be at the fight on Saturday. And Power Slap on Friday night is already sold out, a first for us.”
While Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has attended a private UFC event in the past, Musk’s public attendance marks a notable occasion, particularly amid speculations of a potential mixed martial arts bout between the two billionaires, actively promoted by Dana White and the UFC.
