Erling Haaland makes history with a remarkable performance, scoring twice in Manchester City’s 2-0 victory over relegation-threatened Everton.
The Norwegian sensation has rewritten the Premier League record books, tallying an astonishing 51 goals in his first 50 league starts, surpassing any previous player in the league’s history. This achievement follows his extraordinary goal-scoring spree last season, where he notched an incredible 36 goals.
In the showdown against Everton, Haaland’s first goal arrived with Manchester City’s initial shot on target, breaking through Everton’s resilient defense. Despite Everton’s determined resistance throughout the first half and much of the second, Haaland struck in the 71st minute.
Pouncing on a loose clearance at the far post, Haaland dispatched the ball into the net with his weaker right foot, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. Later, as Everton pushed forward in search of an equalizer, Haaland capitalized on a counter-attack orchestrated by Kevin de Bruyne.
