WWE Superstars Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair are gearing up to face off in the upcoming 2024 Women’s Elimination Chamber match this week.
However, before the highly anticipated bout, they took a moment to acknowledge Shotzi’s unfortunate injury. Shotzi faced Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship on February 13, a match set to air on the upcoming episode of NXT.
During the contest, Shotzi suffered a knee injury and had to be assisted backstage after Valkyria was declared the winner by the referee. Initially scheduled to compete in a qualifying match for the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, Shotzi’s injury led to Alba Fyre stepping in as her replacement on SmackDown.
Following the setback, Shotzi took to Twitter to express her emotions and disappointment, stating that she was ‘devastated’ about missing out on the opportunity to compete in Australia:
“I don’t have much to say right now other than I am devastated. It’s heartbreaking to be missing my Elimination Chamber opportunity tonight. But I just wanted to wish all the women competing good luck. I’ll open up more about how I’m feeling and my injury later. @WWE.”
In response to Shotzi’s tweet, Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair shared Folded Hands emojis, sending their prayers and best wishes for her recovery.
