Bucks’ Damian Lillard Picks Starting 5 of Current NBA Players; Giannis Left Off List

Milwaukee Bucks’ standout Damian Lillard recently shared his ideal starting lineup, showcasing a formidable roster of current NBA stars.

During a TikTok interview with NelsonTheProdigy_, Lillard disclosed his dream team, which includes himself alongside Steph Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Bam Adebayo.

This star-studded selection didn’t raise many eyebrows, especially considering Lillard’s recent collaboration with Adebayo during the All-Star Game, possibly influencing his choice to include the Miami Heat standout in his lineup.

Interestingly, Lillard omitted his own teammate, Giannis Antetokounmpo, from the starting five. Despite their partnership in Milwaukee, Antetokounmpo remains a prominent figure in the league, boasting impressive stats this season with averages of 30.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game while striving to guide the Bucks to further success.

Lillard’s decision might have been more of a tribute to the players he selected rather than a snub toward Antetokounmpo.

Nonetheless, both Lillard and Antetokounmpo aim to finish the season on a high note. The Bucks, currently occupying the third spot in the Eastern Conference with a record of 35-21, have encountered some challenges since Doc Rivers assumed the head coaching role, losing seven of their last ten games.

Looking ahead, the Bucks will resume action against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, seeking to kick off the post-All-Star break with a victory.
