Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr remains hesitant to grant significant playing time to Moses Moody, especially with the imminent return of Chris Paul. Moody, a fourth-year swing man, has seen inconsistent minutes throughout the season despite calls from the Warriors fan base for increased opportunities.
Addressing Moody’s limited playing time in a recent postgame interview following the loss to the Denver Nuggets, Kerr explained that Moody is currently not part of the regular rotation. However, he reassured Moody’s supporters that the situation could change as the regular season enters its final stretch.
“He’s out of the loop right now, but that doesn’t mean it’s the case for the rest of the season,” Kerr stated. “We’ve got a lot of guys who are healthy, and we’re getting Chris back on this trip at some point.
Everybody just has to stay ready, but there’s not enough minutes for everybody.”
Moody played less than two minutes in the game against the Denver Nuggets, failing to register any statistics. However, his limited playing time could lead to renewed dissatisfaction.
According to Joe Dumas of 95.7 The Game in early January, there is frustration within Moody’s camp regarding his undefined role and inconsistent playing time.
Nonetheless, Dumas also highlighted Moody’s affection for playing with the Warriors and his appreciation for the Bay Area, emphasizing that his frustration stems from being dropped out of the rotation despite his performance.
