Reigning as the undisputed ONE straw weight MMA world champion, ‘The Monkey God’ Jarred Brooks is determined to deliver a performance that not only secures victory but also earns him a well-deserved bonus from ONE Championship.

Hailing from Warsaw, Indiana, the 31-year-old fighter has already showcased his skills with two finishes out of four opponents inside the Circle. However, he believes he’s yet to receive the recognition he deserves in the form of a $50,000 bonus check.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Brooks expressed his motivation, emphasizing his commitment to providing for his family, especially now as a father. He stated:

“I’m there to get a $50,000 bonus for the first time. Even though I have two finishes against two top-five opponents, I’m there for it. For more than just money, though, I’m there for my belt, and I’m there to go out and provide for my daughter and my family.”

Brooks is confident in his abilities heading into his upcoming bout, despite facing a formidable opponent.

Scheduled to defend his straw weight title against former champion ‘The Passion’ Joshua Pacio at ONE 166: Qatar, Brooks anticipates a challenging yet rewarding fight. The event will be held at the Lusail Sports Arena in Lusail, Qatar, and will be broadcast live on Friday, March 1st.
