Notre Dame has revealed its latest Shamrock Series alternate jerseys, which the Fighting Irish will wear in their season opener against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field on Sept. 6. The announcement was made through a promotional video featuring head coach Marcus Freeman, who described the uniforms as a celebration of tradition, history, and the shared football heritage between Notre Dame and Lambeau Field. The jerseys honor the roots of the Acme Packers’ blue and gold colors while blending them with Notre Dame’s iconic identity.

The new uniforms are designed by apparel partner Under Armour and feature a unique jersey and helmet combination for the Shamrock Series, an event held every other year since 2022. The design closely resembles the uniforms worn in Notre Dame’s 49-14 victory over Army at Yankee Stadium in 2023, which commemorated the 100th anniversary of Grantland Rice’s famous “Four Horsemen” article.

The Shamrock Series began in 2009 with Notre Dame’s win over Washington State at the Alamodome. Since its debut, the Fighting Irish have dominated the event, holding a perfect 12-0 record. Entering the Wisconsin matchup, Notre Dame is favored by 20.5 points, adding anticipation to the historic Lambeau Field showdown.
