Stefanos Tsitsipas has emphasized his determination to maintain a rigorous schedule on the ATP Tour this year.
In 2023, Tsitsipas embarked on a busy campaign, participating in a total of 77 matches. Noteworthy achievements included reaching the final of the Australian Open and securing an ATP 250 title in Los Cabos.
Reflecting on his extensive schedule from the previous year, Tsitsipas revealed that he never dwelled on the duration of the season or the number of matches he played.
“I never really thought about it, but I think that’s also, in a way, a good sign I have been playing a lot. I think I got around 25, 26 tournaments last year.
That’s a lot of weeks. But let’s not forget, I’ve also won a lot as well,” he stated.
Tsitsipas emphasized his commitment to competing in as many tournaments as possible, provided he maintains his physical fitness.
“I’ve gone deep into tournaments throughout the year (2023), I’ve played a lot of matches in individual tournaments, so that helps kind of get to those numbers. As long as my body’s healthy and I’m willing to go out there and fight and give my 100 every single time, I see no reason of me stopping and considering less than that,” he affirmed.
