Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin has inked a contract extension, securing his presence on the team for the foreseeable future.
Franklin, who had one year remaining on his previous contract, has put pen to paper on a new deal. According to his agents, the extension spans three years and is valued at $31.26 million.
Originally selected by the Colts in the seventh round of the 2018 draft, Franklin has become a cornerstone of the team’s defense. This marks his second three-year extension with the Colts, showcasing the organization’s confidence in his abilities.
Aged 27, Franklin is not only known for his on-field performance but also for his leadership qualities as a team captain. His durability is also noteworthy, having participated in 100 percent of the defensive snaps in 2022 and maintaining high participation despite a minor knee injury in 2023.
