The Carolina Panthers are making moves to manage their cap space, with plans to release center Bradley Bozeman on Wednesday while also retaining tight end Ian Thomas.

According to Joseph Person of TheAthletic.com, Thomas has agreed to restructure his contract to stay with the team.

Although the specifics of the restructuring are not yet clear, Thomas has likely accepted a similar arrangement to last year, where he took a pay cut to remain in Carolina.

Thomas, who is entering the final year of his contract, was due to receive a $1.5 million bonus this week. This restructuring indicates a commitment from both sides to continue their partnership.

Having spent the past six seasons with the Panthers, Thomas has accumulated 116 catches for 1,055 yards and four touchdowns over his career.
