France has called up Aston Villa forward Moussa Diaby for the upcoming European Championship warmup matches against Germany and Chile.
Diaby, who last appeared for the national team in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Ireland in March of last year, has been selected for the squad.
The decision to include Diaby comes at the expense of emerging Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, who has impressed during his debut season with the club.
Despite recently sustaining an injury to the big toe on his left foot, Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been included in the squad after returning to training on Monday.
France, the runner-up in the World Cup, will host Germany on March 23 in Lyon and face Chile three days later in Marseille.
At Euro 2024, taking place in Germany, the two-time champion France finds itself in Group D alongside Austria, the Netherlands, and a playoff winner.
