Center Bradley Bozeman and linebacker Troy Dye have both secured one-year contracts with the Los Angeles Chargers, as announced by the team on Monday.

General Manager Joe Hortiz and offensive coordinator Greg Roman have previous experience working with Bozeman during his time in Baltimore. Bozeman, a sixth-round pick in the 2018 draft by the Ravens, spent four seasons with the team before moving to Carolina for the last two seasons.

Bozeman is anticipated to take over as the Chargers’ starting center, particularly with Corey Linsley likely to retire due to a heart condition. Linsley’s limited appearances last season saw Will Clapp starting in 11 games and Brenden Jaimes in three.

On the other hand, Dye, who spent his initial four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, is slated to contribute primarily on special teams for the Chargers. Notably, he led the Vikings in special teams tackles with 11 during the 2021 season. Chargers special teams coordinator Ryan Ficken previously directed the Vikings unit in 2021.
