Haason Reddick, originally from Camden, New Jersey, and a former Temple college football player, has spent the last two seasons with the Eagles in Philadelphia. Now, he’s moving on after being traded to the Jets. Reddick shared a heartfelt message on social media bidding farewell to the city.
“Philadelphia, saying ‘thank you’ isn’t enough to express my gratitude for the love and support you’ve shown me during my time as an Eagle,” Reddick wrote. “To my teammates, we’re brothers forever, on and off the field.
To the Eagles organization, thank you for the opportunity to play in my hometown. It’s been a dream come true. To my family, you’ve been my rock. Without you, I wouldn’t have achieved my dreams.”
The Jets traded a 2026 draft pick, either a second- or third-rounder based on Reddick’s performance incentives, to acquire him. This move shows their commitment to Reddick as they aim for a strong season, potentially Aaron Rodgers’ last, and hope Reddick can make a significant impact.
