Fernando Alonso once had a fashion and accessories brand named Kimoa. Even though he sold it after it started losing money, Alonso still represents Kimoa.

Back when he owned Kimoa, Alonso made various creative decisions, including involving Lando Norris in an advertisement for the brand. This ad, which was shot before 2019, featured Alonso and Norris trying out a Kimoa surfboard at the McLaren Technology Center.

At that time, Norris was a reserve driver for McLaren, while Alonso was the lead driver in a struggling McLaren team. Unfortunately, Kimoa faced financial losses of over $3 million in the following years, leading Alonso to sell the brand to a US-based group called Revolution Brands.

In the advertisement, Alonso and Norris are seen enjoying themselves with the surfboard before being reminded of an engineering meeting at McLaren. They decide to have a race to end their surfing session and attend the meeting.
