Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will have a role in helping decide which wide receivers the team should pick in the draft.
Baltimore’s General Manager Eric DeCosta mentioned that wide receiver is one of the strongest positions in this year’s draft. Coach John Harbaugh added that Jackson will watch videos of potential players and share his thoughts on how they might fit into the Ravens’ offense.
Harbaugh said, “He looks at guys on tape. Lamar has never been shy about sharing his opinion about draft picks or free agents. He hasn’t given his opinion yet, but he will.”
The Ravens made a significant commitment to Jackson as their main quarterback last year. As part of that commitment, they want to bring in players he believes will help him succeed.
While DeCosta will make the decisions on draft picks, Jackson’s input will be valued. Especially regarding wide receivers, his thoughts will be important in the Ravens’ draft discussions.
