Lewis Hamilton will have his first race with Ferrari in Australia. The Formula 1 season for 2025 will begin in Melbourne, which hasn’t happened since 2019. The schedule change is because the races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, which usually start the season, will be moved to mid-April to avoid clashing with Ramadan, the Muslim holy month.

Next year, Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time champion, will switch to Ferrari after spending 12 years with Mercedes, where he won six titles.

Australia was supposed to host the opening race in 2020, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After Australia, the races will be in China and Japan. F1 is trying to reduce the travel distance between races to lessen its environmental impact.

The 2025 season will have 24 races, which is a record for F1. There won’t be any new circuits, and the season will end with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 7th.

F1’s president, Stefano Domenicali, said that 2025 will be special as it marks the 75th anniversary of the FIA Formula One World Championship. He emphasized the importance of F1’s legacy and experience in creating a strong calendar.
