Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh speaks in a press conference after defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2024 Rose Bowl college football playoff semifinal game at Rose Bowl.

Jim Harbaugh, former head coach of Michigan football, proved true to his word.

After leading the Wolverines to an impeccable 15-0 season and clinching the national championship last year, Harbaugh pledged to get a tattoo in celebration of the achievement. Following Michigan’s triumph over the Washington Huskies in the College Football Playoff title game, Harbaugh honored his commitment.

Returning to Ann Arbor for the championship ring ceremony preceding the team’s annual spring game, Harbaugh took a moment to fulfill his promise. With the Michigan “M” and “15-0” inked on his right arm, Harbaugh showcased his unwavering dedication to his team and their historic victory.

Throughout the tattooing process, Harbaugh humorously asserted his resilience to pain, highlighting his indomitable spirit.

Having departed Michigan to assume the role of head coach for the Los Angeles Chargers on Jan. 24, Harbaugh leaves behind a legacy of success. During his nine seasons with the Wolverines, he amassed an impressive record of 86-25, securing three Big Ten championships and delivering Michigan’s first national title since 1997.

As Michigan gears up to kick off the 2024 season against Fresno State at the Big House on Aug. 31, Harbaugh’s tattoo stands as a lasting tribute to the team’s historic achievement under his leadership.
