Gasly faced challenges at the Chinese Grand Prix, starting from 15th on the grid. During a pit stop to switch to hard tires, a nerve-wracking moment occurred when the rear-right tire wasn’t properly attached, prompting the pit crew to halt him.

Gasly narrowly avoided hitting a mechanic who fell, resulting in a fine for his team.

Gasly described the incident as “quite scary,” relieved that the mechanic was unharmed. Despite the setback, Gasly remained positive, aiming to learn from the experience and improve for future races.

The delay dropped him to the back of the field, but he managed to climb to 13th place, facing challenges throughout the race that prevented him from securing a top-ten finish.

Looking ahead to the next race in Miami, Gasly is optimistic about racing with Alpine’s upgraded chassis, which promises improved performance. He anticipates being more competitive and hopes to secure valuable points in the upcoming races.
