Nelly Korda played a 3-under 69 in the weather-delayed third round of the Chevron Championship on Sunday, putting her one shot behind the leader as she heads into the final round of the first major tournament of the year.

Play was stopped on Saturday due to lightning, so the third round had to be finished early Sunday morning at Carlton Woods.

Korda had completed 11 holes when play was halted on Saturday. She now has a total score of 206 after three rounds, tying her with Brooke Henderson for second place going into Sunday’s fourth round.

Henderson had an outstanding performance in the third round, shooting a 64 and setting a new scoring record for the tournament since it moved from Mission Hills, California, to Texas last year.

She had a streak of 10 one-putts with six birdies and an eagle during that stretch.

Haeran Ryu from South Korea had a solid round with a bogey-free 67, making five birdies to lead after 54 holes with a total score of 205.

Atthaya Thitikul, who was tied for the lead after two rounds, shot a 72 in the third round, dropping her into a tie for fourth place with two other players. Thitikul, a 21-year-old from Thailand, has won twice on the LPGA Tour but missed the start of this season due to a thumb injury.

Jin Hee Im, who was also tied for the lead after 36 holes, had a similar score of 72 in the third round, falling to fourth place with a total score of 208.
