Detroit is gearing up for the NFL Draft, and just before the event, they have some good news to celebrate about the Lions.
Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Lions. He was picked in the fourth round of the 2021 draft and is entering the final year of his rookie deal.
St. Brown was one of the key players on the Lions’ offense set for extensions this offseason. Quarterback Jared Goff is also in line for a new contract.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the extension is valued at over $120 million with $77 million guaranteed.
This would make St. Brown the highest-paid receiver in the NFL. While the full contract details are yet to be disclosed, St. Brown is set to receive a significant payday.
The contract details will also be of interest to Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, and Brandon Aiyuk as they negotiate their own extensions this offseason.
St. Brown has impressive stats with 315 catches for 3,588 yards and 21 touchdowns in his first three seasons. This places him among the top 17 players in Lions history in all three categories. With his future secured in Detroit, St. Brown is poised to climb even higher on those lists in the coming years.
