The New York Jets made moves during the NFL draft to improve their team. They focused mainly on offense to help their quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, who missed most of last season due to injury.

General manager Joe Douglas traded picks to get players he wanted. The Jets’ first five picks were all offensive players.

Rodgers is now back from injury, and Douglas wanted to make sure he had a strong team around him. The Jets picked Olu Fashanu from Penn State to protect Rodgers and Malachi Corley from Western Kentucky to add to their offense.

On Saturday, the Jets continued to make trades. They traded a defensive player to Denver and moved down in the fourth round three times.

In the fourth round, they chose Braelon Allen from Wisconsin to join their running back group. They also picked Isaiah Davis from South Dakota State later in the draft.

With one of their fifth-round picks, they selected Jordan Travis from Florida State, a quarterback who will learn from Rodgers and the backup, Tyrod Taylor. The Jets then chose Qwan’tez Stiggers, a cornerback, with their next fifth-round pick. Stiggers didn’t play college football but did well in the Canadian Football League last season.

The Jets’ final pick of the draft was Jaylen Key, a safety from Alabama, chosen as “Mr. Irrelevant.”
