The Las Vegas Raiders are set to add former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup to their roster on a one-year contract valued at up to $3 million, pending a physical exam, according to a source familiar with the deal on Monday.
The source, who requested anonymity as the contract details are yet to be finalized, shared this information.
Gallup will join the Las Vegas receiving corps alongside Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers, catching passes from either Aidan O’Connell or Gardner Minshew.
The Raiders had an open spot after releasing Hunter Renfrow and not selecting any receivers in the draft. Gallup became available after the Cowboys cut him on March 15 to reduce costs.
The Raiders are hoping to acquire the kind of receiver who posted impressive stats in 2019 with 66 receptions for 1,107 yards and six touchdowns. However, Gallup has faced challenges in returning to form after suffering a torn ACL in 2021, without recording a 100-yard game since then.
