The Cleveland Cavaliers will attempt to prolong their season despite the absence of All-Star Donovan Mitchell and Caris LeVert in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinals against Boston on Wednesday night.

Mitchell is nursing a strained left calf, while LeVert has a bruised left knee. With the Cavaliers trailing 3-1 in the series against the Celtics, they will also miss center Jarrett Allen for the eighth consecutive game due to a rib injury sustained in the previous round against Orlando.

In Game 4, Mitchell’s teammates filled in admirably, although they fell short with a 109-102 loss, marking the closest game of the series so far.
