Aryna Sabalenka continued her strong performance at the French Open by defeating Emma Navarro 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals on Monday.

The sun shining at Porte d’Auteuil in Paris brought Sabalenka joy. She hasn’t lost a match yet at Roland Garros.

After her win, she danced happily off the court to the tune of the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive”, played loudly on Ons Jabeur’s phone.

Sabalenka, seeded second, is one win away from her seventh consecutive Grand Slam semifinal. She will face Mirra Andreeva, who reached her first major quarterfinal by defeating Varvara Gracheva 7-5, 6-2.

In other matches, Jasmine Paolini defeated Elina Avanesyan 4-6, 6-0, 6-1, while Elena Rybakina beat Elina Svitolina 6-4, 6-3. Paolini and Rybakina will meet in the quarterfinals.

With temperatures reaching 22 degrees Celsius (72 F), matches on Court Philippe Chatrier and Court Suzanne Lenglen proceeded under an open roof, thanks to the absence of rain.

Alex de Minaur, from Australia, overcame No. 5 Daniil Medvedev 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-3, becoming the first Australian since Lleyton Hewitt 20 years ago to reach the Roland Garros quarterfinals. Medvedev received treatment for a blister on his right foot during the match.

De Minaur conducted his post-match interview entirely in French.
