Nick Harris is returning to the Browns.

Cleveland brought back the experienced center in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday after backup Luke Wypler broke his ankle in Saturday’s exhibition game against the Green Bay Packers.

Harris was originally drafted by the Browns in 2020 and played three seasons with them. He missed all of 2022 due to a knee injury suffered in the preseason opener. The 25-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks in March.

In exchange for Harris and a seventh-round pick in 2026, the Browns sent Seattle a sixth-round draft pick in 2026.

Wypler was the second-string center behind starter Ethan Pocic. He was carted off the field in the first half of the game against the Packers, and coach Kevin Stefanski said Wypler, a second-year player from Ohio State, will need surgery.

Last week, the Seahawks agreed to a one-year deal with center Connor Williams, who has previously played for Dallas and Miami and is expected to join Seattle on Monday. Harris had been competing with Olu Oluwatimi for the Seahawks.
