Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb is expected to miss the start of the Premier League season after reportedly breaking a bone in his leg.
British media say that the Norway international got the injury during training this week. The injury has not been fully assessed yet, so a complete prognosis is not available.
City has not yet publicly confirmed the injury to the 21-year-old Bobb, who showed strong performances in the preseason and was likely to start on the right wing for the team’s league opener against Chelsea on Sunday, with some key players returning late to preseason training.
Bobb played almost the entire match in City’s penalty-shootout win over Manchester United in the Community Shield on Saturday.
