Linebacker Trevis Gipson is moving to a new team before Tuesday’s deadline to cut rosters to 53 players.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Jaguars have agreed to trade Gipson to the Seahawks. In return, Seattle will give a late-round pick to Jacksonville.
This is the third trade the Seahawks have made recently.
They previously traded cornerback Michael Jackson to the Panthers for linebacker Michael Barrett and sent edge rusher Darrell Taylor to the Bears.
Gipson signed with the Jaguars in March after playing for the Titans last season.
He appeared in eight games for Tennessee, recording six tackles and one sack. He spent three seasons with the Bears after being drafted in the fifth round in 2020, where he accumulated 75 tackles, 10 sacks, and five forced fumbles.
