He is projected to be sidelined through Week 6, but once he recovers, more teams are expected to make concrete offers ahead of the November 5 NFL trade deadline.
The Raiders have set high expectations for any potential deal, demanding at least a second-round pick plus additional compensation, such as another draft pick or a player. However, teams have been hesitant to submit firm offers, as they do not want to help the Raiders establish a market price for Adams too early. Consequently, the trade market hasn’t fully heated up yet, but it’s expected to intensify soon.
Several teams are eyeing Adams, with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints considered frontrunners. Other teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens are also keeping tabs on the situation. On the other hand, the Saints offer Adams the opportunity to reunite with Derek Carr, his former quarterback in both college and Las Vegas. Financially, any team acquiring Adams would need to address his hefty contract. He’s owed $17.5 million this season, with $13.5 million still remaining.
