Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver will be out for a second week due to a hamstring injury after coach Sean McDermott announced on Saturday that he will not play against the New York Jets on Monday night.

McDermott expressed hope that Oliver could return the following weekend when Buffalo faces the Tennessee Titans.

Regarding other important players on the injury report, McDermott mentioned that receiver Khalil Shakir (right ankle), running back James Cook (toe), and nickel cornerback Taron Johnson (right forearm) are listed as questionable, with all three set to practice later that day.

Shakir, who is the leading receiver for the Bills, has already missed one game, and Johnson has been out since his injury in Week 1.

McDermott also noted that receivers Curtis Samuel (toe) and Mack Hollins (shoulder) are expected to play against the Jets (2-3).

The Bills (3-2), who lead the AFC East, have lost their last two games ahead of this matchup with their division rival.
