The Chicago Bears started slowly on Sunday in Week 6, going three-and-out on their first two drives and letting the Jacksonville Jaguars take a 3-0 lead early on.

However, quarterback Caleb Williams and the offense quickly found their rhythm, while the defense played strongly, leading to a 35-16 victory.

Williams began the game with just 1-for-3 passing and took a sack on the first six plays. But after that, he took control of the game. He finished with 23 completions out of 29 attempts for 226 yards, throwing four touchdowns and only one interception.

This marked the second straight game where his passer rating was over 120, and he grew more confident as the game progressed.

After falling behind 3-0, Williams threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Cole Kmet in the second quarter, showcasing a well-designed play.

The two connected again at the end of the first half, with Williams hitting Kmet for a two-yard touchdown, giving the Bears a 14-3 lead at halftime. The second half continued the Bears’ strong play.

Keenan Allen caught his first touchdown of the season on a nine-yard pass from Williams, extending Chicago’s lead to 21-3. This was the first time a Bears rookie quarterback had thrown three touchdown passes in a game since Cade McNown in 1999.

Williams and Allen connected once more in the fourth quarter, this time on a three-yard pass, keeping Chicago ahead at 28-10.

A touchdown run by D’Andre Swift was followed by two touchdowns from the Jaguars to finish the scoring in the game.

Chicago now goes into their bye week with a record of 4-1 and a four-game winning streak. They will return to play in Week 8 against the Washington Commanders, who are led by rookie Jayden Daniels.
