The game between Indianapolis and Minnesota in Week 9 has been moved to prime time, pushing the Jacksonville-Philadelphia game to an afternoon start due to the NFL’s flexible scheduling rules.
The Colts and Vikings will now play on NBC’s Sunday night broadcast on November 3, as announced by the league on Monday. Last year, the Vikings set an NFL record for the biggest comeback against the Colts, coming back from a 33-0 halftime deficit to win 39-36.
Indianapolis, currently 4-3, is also set to play on Sunday night in Week 11 against the New York Jets. Minnesota had no other games scheduled in the featured Sunday night slot after finishing 7-10 last season.
The Vikings are tied for the best record in the NFC at 5-1. They will appear in prime time at least two more times this season, including this Thursday night against the Los Angeles Rams and on December 16 for a Monday night game against the Chicago Bears.
The Jaguars-Eagles game will have coach Doug Pederson facing his former team, which he led to a Super Bowl victory after the 2017 season. However, the Jaguars are struggling this year with a record of 2-5, while the Eagles are 4-2.
