In a follow-up to Davis’s post, Redick explained that he was reviewing game footage to analyze the previous night’s performance and prepare for the Lakers’ next game against the Sacramento Kings. He noted that watching films in public is not a common practice for him, but it was a necessity due to the demanding schedule of back-to-back games. Redick emphasized that he had spent both the previous evening and that morning focused on his coaching responsibilities.
The timing of Redick’s film-watching session was also practical; he mentioned that the car wash was conveniently located next to where his two sons had their basketball games later that day. Redick considered this multitasking a “very efficient use of time,” allowing him to balance family commitments with his coaching duties. He reiterated that while he watches a significant amount of film, doing so in public settings like a car wash is not typical for him.
After Redick’s unique preparation, the Lakers showcased their resilience by defeating the Kings 131-127, enhancing their season record to 3-0.
