The Kansas City Chiefs have activated running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive end Charles Omenihu to return to practice this week, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.
Both players could be ready for Sunday’s big matchup, as the undefeated Chiefs (9-0) are set to face the Buffalo Bills (8-2) in a battle between AFC division leaders in Orchard Park, New York.
Pacheco was placed on injured reserve on September 18 after suffering a broken fibula during a Week 2 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Omenihu has been recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in the AFC Championship Game last season against the Baltimore Ravens.
Pacheco, 25, had rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown and caught seven passes for 54 yards in two games before his injury. Since being drafted by Kansas City in the seventh round of the 2022 draft, he has gained 2,328 yards from scrimmage and scored 15 touchdowns in 33 games (26 starts).
Omenihu, 27, recorded a career-high seven sacks in 11 games (one start) in his first season with the Chiefs in 2023. He has 18.5 sacks in 72 career games (11 starts) with the Houston Texans (2019-21), San Francisco 49ers (2021-22), and Kansas City. Omenihu was a fifth-round pick by Houston in 2019.
