Bill Belichick is dedicated to coaching the UNC-Chapel Hill Tar Heels, according to his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.
There had been concerns that the 72-year-old Belichick might be reconsidering his decision to take the head coaching job for the UNC Tar Heels, but Hudson, 24, is clearing up the rumors.
Hudson, who started dating Belichick in 2023, shared a professional photo of herself and the coach in Carolina blue outfits on Instagram on Thursday, January 16. This post came just hours after CBS reported that Belichick had still not signed his contract with the university.
In the caption, Hudson wrote, “Pictured: two people who are overtly committed to @uncfootball,” with a blue heart and a football emoji.

After CBS reported on January 16 that Belichick had not yet signed his contract, UNC’s general manager, Michael Lombardi, clarified the situation. Lombardi posted on X, stating that Belichick was working for the team and was out “recruiting” in Baltimore and Washington, D.C., this week.
Lombardi added, “His focus is on North Carolina football, hiring staff members and developing the team. The NFL isn’t an option, so please stop making it one. Thank you.”
Hudson was also reportedly sitting next to Lombardi’s wife, Millie, during Belichick’s introductory press conference at UNC on December 12.

On December 27, Hudson took to Instagram to share her excitement for Belichick’s new role. She posted a picture of a UNC sweatshirt she was decorating with sparkles for upcoming games.
Hudson previously expressed her support for Belichick’s new position at UNC on social media, sharing a post on her Instagram Stories saying, “We are onto Chapel Hill!!!” This phrase was a nod to Belichick’s famous line from 2014, when he said “We’re onto Cincinnati” to reporters after a tough loss as head coach of the New England Patriots.
Belichick and Hudson began dating in early 2023. The couple made their red carpet debut together on December 5 at the Museum Gala at New York City’s American Museum of Natural History.
A source close to the couple told PEOPLE in December that Belichick’s new job at UNC will only strengthen their relationship. The source shared, “Jordon is also a busy woman with a lot going on. So I don’t see this doing anything but enhancing their solid relationship.”
