Veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is preparing for the 14th season of his NFL career and is exploring new opportunities with teams in need of experienced pass-catchers. In a recent interview with TMZ, Hopkins expressed enthusiasm about the possibility of reuniting with former teammate Kyler Murray, who signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He described Murray as family and said he would gladly support both him and the team. Hopkins emphasized that he is ready to help wherever needed and contribute his veteran knowledge to the locker room.
Hopkins played 17 games for the Baltimore Ravens in 2025 but saw limited action, making three starts and finishing with 22 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns. While his production has declined compared to his peak seasons, Hopkins remains a strong red-zone threat and a reliable, big-bodied receiver who can mentor younger players.

Hopkins Could Provide Leadership, Red-Zone Threat, and support to the Vikings’ offense.
The Hopkins-Murray connection goes back to their three years together in Arizona, including memorable highlights such as the “Hail Murray” game-winning touchdown against Buffalo in 2020. Hopkins acknowledged he is no longer the dominant receiver he once was, but believes he can still contribute both on the field and in developing younger teammates.
Minnesota’s receiving corps features Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but the departure of slot receiver Jalen Nailor in free agency opens a potential opportunity for Hopkins to fill a supporting role. He expressed excitement about joining a team with a positive environment and emphasized his desire to be part of a group that loves the game while sharing his 13 seasons of experience.
Hopkins could bring leadership, red-zone ability, and a familiar connection to Murray, making him a potential low-cost addition to the Vikings’ roster.
