Zach Wilson is reportedly heading to the New Orleans Saints, marking another step in his search for stability in the NFL. The former New York Jets and Miami Dolphins quarterback has agreed to a deal, though the terms have not yet been revealed.
Wilson spent last season with the Miami Dolphins as a backup to Tua Tagovailoa, appearing in just four games. When an opportunity arose during Tagovailoa’s benching, Wilson was not chosen to start, with the team instead turning to Quinn Ewers. His limited role highlighted his struggle to regain a starting position.

With the Saints, Wilson joins a quarterback group led by Tyler Shough, alongside backup option Spencer Rattler. Despite being in the league longer, Wilson is only slightly older than Shough, reflecting how early he entered the NFL as the second overall pick in the 2021 draft.
After losing his starting role with the Jets, Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos following the 2023 season, where he spent time under former Saints head coach Sean Payton. Now, he has another chance to reset his career in a new environment.
The move presents an opportunity for Wilson to compete and potentially rebuild his reputation, though he faces a challenging path in a crowded quarterback room.
