The New York Yankees have been far from complacent this offseason, making significant acquisitions such as Juan Soto, Marcus Stroman, Alex Verdugo, and Trent Grisham, among others.
However, star slugger Aaron Judge hinted at the possibility of another major move for the team.
“I have a feeling there might be more to come, but you never know,” he shared with reporters on Tuesday.
General Manager Brian Cashman echoed this sentiment last week, saying, “We’re not done yet. If there are opportunities to enhance the team, we’re open to exploring them.”
When asked about potential areas for improvement, Cashman emphasized pitching as a priority. Reports have linked the Yankees to Blake Snell, with sources indicating ongoing interest from the team.

According to reports, the Yankees presented Snell with a substantial offer earlier this year, and although they shifted focus to Stroman, they continue to monitor Snell’s situation, hoping for a favorable adjustment in his contract demands.
Currently, the Yankees boast a solid rotation featuring Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodón, Marcus Stroman, Nestor Cortés, and Clarke Schmidt. Despite this, the addition of Snell would undoubtedly strengthen the pitching staff.
As the Yankees aim to rebound from a disappointing 82-80 season, they recognize the competitiveness within the AL East, with formidable teams like the Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays, and Toronto Blue Jays. Enhancing their roster with another top-tier pitcher could bolster their chances of contending in 2024.
While it remains uncertain whether the Yankees will finalize a deal for Snell or explore alternatives like Jordan Montgomery, their commitment to addressing weaknesses in the roster reflects a determination to reclaim their status as contenders in the league.
