‘Unbelievable… Private Jet’: Adam Scott Turned Tony Stark for Min Woo Lee to Cruise the 25YO’s 2023 US Open Performance

Playing at a major is every golfer’s dream! It was even sweeter for Min Woo Lee back in 2023, all thanks to his spectacular finish at the U.S. Open. Intriguingly, what followed for the Aussie after the major was an even more enjoyable experience, courtesy of none other than Adam Scott.

Lee took to an interview a while back, recounting his experience with the fellow Australian before and after the major championship. However, while doing so, he also made sure to highlight the motivation he received from Scott, which helped him finish the tournament amazingly, but with a “private jet” twist, no less!

Min Woo Lee shares the ‘Adam Scott’ experience

“It was unbelievable.” -said the 25-year-old in a talk with Christopher Powers for Golf Digest as he mentioned how the two Aussies had a fun interaction while having dinner although they didn’t know the other was just “ten meters away.” Nevertheless, after the meal when they met, the 43-year-old invited his colleague to join him to the Travelers Championship in his “private jet” as he exuded Tony Stark vibes; “Do you want to come on the plane?”

However, Lee was quick to decline while confessing how he was“not in” the event. However, the 2023 Fortinet Australian PGA Championship winner revealed how he needs to play well at the upcoming major and finish in the top 10 if he needs a shot at the tourney. What was Scott’s response? He said, “Well, okay! Just go do it!” So much for the pep talk.

Anyhow, it did end up all good for the professional as he finished T5 with a score of 5-under 275. This brought him an entry to the Travelers Championship and a “private jet” trip as he made the journey to the event on the plane with Scott and his father. How was it, you ask? Even Powers was curious as he inquired the same, to which Lee expressed his disbelief.

The ride to the event at TPC River Highlands was nothing short of “amazing,” as per the professional. Moreover, he was all praise for the fellow Aussie’s jet as he continued with the response.

Lee’s admiration for Scott’s private jet

The 3X DP World Tour champ couldn’t stop talking about the plane as he reminisced how it was “decked out with a couple of Augusta National blankets and stuff.” What’s more, the athlete even recounted the “nice little snooze” he had on the 1X major winner’s couch inside the flight.

The luxurious trip seems to have done wonders once again as the young Aussie managed to finish at T9 in the Travelers Championship the following week. He was also able to register a score of 17-under 263 as opposed to his ‘private jet’ benefactor Scott, who placed at T19 with 266(-14). As motivating as incentives go, this one hit the mark!
