As is customary, Tony Khan arranged four matches for the hour-long show. Here’s a rundown of the card for this week’s episode:

1. Christopher Daniels vs. Konosuke Takeshita
2. Anna Jay vs. Ruby Soho
3. Lee Moriarty vs. Jon Moxley
4. The Butcher vs. Kip Sabian vs. Komander vs. Vikingo

Let’s delve into the details of everything that unfolded on Sterling Archer’s favorite wrestling program.

Lee Moriarty vs. Jon Moxley (1 of 3)

Rampage kicked off with Moxley making his entrance through the crowd, gearing up for the opening match against Moriarty, with Shane Taylor at ringside.

Mox entered with a favorable record against Shane Taylor’s promotions, leading to Moriarty and Taylor strategizing during the match whenever possible.

While the first several minutes felt surprisingly evenly matched, Moxley took control after a stiff forearm sent Moriarty to the mat. Despite Moriarty’s resilience and near-falls, Moxley secured the win by choking him out. Though Moriarty’s TV win tally needs a boost, his performance stood out. Moxley extended a handshake, only for Taylor to attack and stomp on him alongside his protege.

Result: Jon Moxley defeated Lee Moriarty

Grade: A-

Notable Moments and Observations

– The initial chop by Moxley on Moriarty looked particularly painful.
– Moxley displayed more heel tendencies, aligning with his recent promos.
– Finger snap spots remain cringe-worthy.
– Moriarty could be a fitting addition to BCC.

Konosuke Takeshita vs. Christopher Daniels, Anna Jay vs. Ruby Soho (2 of 3)

In the next match, Daniels faced Takeshita, accompanied by Don Callis, Kyle Fletcher, and Powerhouse Hobbs.

Takeshita’s size advantage was evident, but Daniels, no longer a cruiserweight, incorporated power moves into his arsenal. Despite the short duration, the match was impactful, with Takeshita securing the win.

Result: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Christopher Daniels

Grade: C+

Anna Jay vs. Ruby Soho

Saraya and Harley Cameron supported Soho ringside as she faced Jay, who had a pre-match argument with Angelo Parker.

While Daddy Magic was on commentary, Parker was absent. Saraya and Cameron interfered in Soho’s favor until the referee dismissed them. Jay capitalized on the situation, securing the victory.

Result: Anna Jay defeated Ruby Soho

Grade: C+

Notable Moments and Observations

– The Callis Family’s music, while cool, didn’t elicit much crowd reaction.
– Takeshita’s high-angle German suplex appeared impressive.
– Ruby’s intimidation factor transcends her size.

The Butcher vs. Kip Sabian vs. Komander vs. Vikingo (3 of 3)

The main event featured an intriguing Fatal 4-Way, where Komander and Vikingo, as well as Sabian and Butcher, vied for a shot at Orange Cassidy’s international title.

Sabian, not as small as the luchadors, faced a size disadvantage against The Butcher. Despite a few sloppy moments, the match was entertaining and well-structured. Komander secured the victory, earning a title shot against OC on Collision.

Result: Komander won a shot at the International Championship

Grade: B-

The Butcher vs. Kip Sabian vs. Komander vs. Vikingo

Notable Moments and Observations

– The realization by Sabian and Butcher that they were opponents was amusing.
– Komander and Vikingo delivered entertaining lucha exchanges.
– Daddy Magic’s commentary excitement for Butcher was comical.
– Vikingo’s slightly late intervention in breaking up a pin was well-handled by Aubrey Edwards.
– The Tower of Doom suplex spot had its challenges but concluded safely.
– Edwards should not have counted the two-count on Sabian’s German suplex; his shoulders were nowhere near the mat.
