Christian Pulisic is currently enjoying the most prolific season of his career.

The United States standout continued his impressive run by scoring for the fourth consecutive game for AC Milan. His goal contributed to a crucial 3-1 victory against relegation-threatened Hellas Verona on Sunday, helping the Rossoneri solidify their second spot in Serie A.

Pulisic has now netted 12 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions in his debut season with Milan, surpassing his previous best tally of 11 goals during the 2019-20 campaign at Chelsea.

This surge in form is also a positive sign for the American team as they prepare for the CONCACAF Nations League finals next week at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Meanwhile, Milan moved three points clear of Juventus, who could only manage a 0-0 draw at home against Genoa. Despite this, the Rossoneri still trail Serie A leaders Inter Milan by 14 points, after Inter was held to a 1-1 draw at home by defending champions Napoli.

AC Milan’s focus shifted to on-field matters after a challenging week off the pitch. The club’s offices were raided by police on Tuesday as part of an investigation by Italian prosecutors into the sale of the seven-time European champion.

Pulisic came close to giving Milan the lead in the 23rd minute, but his effort struck the underside of the crossbar and narrowly stayed out. However, Milan found the breakthrough spectacularly just before halftime.

Théo Hernandez initiated the move from his half, exchanging passes with Rafael Leão before cutting inside the penalty area and firing a shot into the net from a tight angle.

The Rossoneri extended their lead early in the second half when Verona defender Paweł Dawidowicz was caught off guard by Noah Okafor, whose shot was saved by Lorenzo Montipò, only for Pulisic to tap in the rebound.

Verona pulled a goal back in the 64th minute through Tijjani Noslin’s powerful strike, but Milan effectively sealed the result 11 minutes from time. A cleared corner fell to Samuel Chukwueze, who volleyed the ball into the bottom left corner to secure victory for Milan.
