Anthony Rendon of the Los Angeles Angels had to leave Saturday’s match against the Cincinnati Reds because of a hamstring injury.

The 33-year-old player was limping after he got an infield single at the beginning of the game. Zach Neto took over as a pinch runner for Rendon.

Rendon has a batting average of .257 and has made three RBIs. At the start of the season, he didn’t get a hit in his first 19 at-bats, but since April 5, he has managed to get 20 hits.

Rendon, who was an All-Star with the Washington Nationals in 2019, is currently in the fifth year of a seven-year contract worth $245 million. However, he has been dealing with various injuries and hasn’t played more than 58 games in any season with the Angels.
