Barcelona are reportedly interested in securing the services of Juventus midfielder Adrian Rabiot on a free transfer in the summer, according to Barca Blaugranes.

The report suggests that Barcelona could present the French international with a two-year contract, potentially extendable for a third season. However, competition for Rabiot’s signature is fierce, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Inter Milan, and Bayern Munich also expressing interest in the player.

Currently, Rabiot plays a significant role for Juventus, featuring in 22 Serie A matches this season and contributing with four goals and three assists.

Barcelona’s interest in Rabiot is primarily driven by their financial situation, with key players like Frenkie de Jong, Ronaldo Araujo, Gavi, and Raphinha linked with potential departures as the club seeks to address financial challenges, as reported by The Athletic.

Beyond financial considerations, Rabiot’s acquisition would offer stability and experience to Barcelona’s midfield. Throughout his career, the former Paris Saint-Germain star has accumulated 200 appearances across various competitions for Juventus, tallying 21 goals and 15 assists.

A move to Barcelona would provide Rabiot with the opportunity to represent one of football’s most storied clubs. However, Barcelona’s current position in La Liga, trailing eight points behind leaders Real Madrid, might diminish the appeal of the move.
