Genoa was so excited to have Tanguy Ndombele join their team that they even arranged a special airplane just for him! But, before he could hop on the plane, Tottenham Hotspur said, ‘No thanks!’ They did not want Tanguy to leave, and that made things tricky for Genoa.
Not many Tottenham Hotspur fans would be upset if Harry Kane got the chance to play in the Champions League, which is the coolest soccer tournament in Europe.
However, saying that Tanguy Ndombele should also get fancy food like lobster and caviar just because he plays in a top European team? Well, not many people thought that was fair.
But guess what? Ndombele recently joined a big team in Turkey called Galatasaray in a really big deal worth £13 million! That means he is going to play against Harry Kane and his team in the Champions League. So, he’ll get his chance on the big stage, too!
Tanguy Ndombele Says Goodbye to Tottenham and Goes to Turkey
Ndombele was one of the most disappointing signings in recent Premier League history and was originally close to joining Genoa instead.
La Repubblica newspaper reported that the Serie A club had even chartered a private jet to pick up the disgruntled Frenchman from London, but Ndombele told Genoa’s leaders at the last minute that he was incompetent. It was reported that he had told the club that he was not very interested. We provide UCL football.
The Rossoblu faced a similar problem when they tried to sign Donny van de Beek from Manchester United. At least the Spurs managed to force Ndombele off late. That’s more than can be said about the Red Devils. Negotiations over a potential contract for Van de Beek to join Ndombele in Turkey have stalled, much to United’s frustration.
Spurs’ Flop Gave Him the Move He Wanted
In addition to Bayern Munich, Ndombele’s new employers will also face Ten Hags Red Devils and Danish club FC Copenhagen in the Champions League. The tournament starts next week.
Ndombele and Sanchez will be aiming to make their Galatasaray debut in Saturday’s Super Lig clash against Samsunspor. However, Gala coach Okan Buruk has asked for patience from his new midfielder.
“Our latest transfer, Ndombele, arrived last week. I think he will reach his best performance within a week or two,” Bourg told Sporx.
“I also have two friends who are returning from the national team, (Cedric) Bakambu and Davinson. Davinson has returned from the national team and will be with us tomorrow, collecting his bags from England. ”
