Alabama’s 41-34 win over Georgia on Saturday night had an average of 12 million viewers on ABC and ESPN’s streaming services, according to Nielsen.

This was the most-watched regular-season prime-time game since 2017, when the Alabama-Florida State game at the start of the season averaged 12.3 million viewers. It was also the most-streamed regular-season game on ESPN.

Nielsen reported that the audience peaked at 14.1 million between 11:15 and 11:30 p.m. EDT, when Alabama was fending off Georgia’s attempt to come back in the second half.

Ryan Williams from the Crimson Tide caught a 75-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe with 2:18 left on the clock. Georgia was trying to score a game-tying touchdown when Zabien Brown intercepted a pass from Carson Beck in the end zone.

This victory moved Alabama up from No. 4 to No. 1 in the AP Top 25 rankings, while Georgia fell from second to fifth.

This year marks the first time that ESPN and ABC have the full Southeastern Conference football package.
